Breath, Stretch, Shake- Let It Go.

Breathing. Seems like a simple task––nothing we do not do every day, right? Wrong. A lot of us just do not take a second to breath and appreciate our surroundings. I realize this can be very hard with all of our hectic lives but, it gets you wondering. I mean it is just breathing but, there is so much more to it. Giving yourself a time to just clear your mind and dedicate those 3 minutes (or how ever long you choose) to breathing can actually enhance your day, make it that much better.

Now what I want you to do is take in a DEEP breath. I mean just let it all go, do not think. and on your last gasp of air hold it for about 15-20 seconds then, let it out.  Now do this as many times as you like. Some days are more difficult then others but, give yourself time. You will be very surprised to see how just those 3 minutes a day can change your whole perspective. Also, an added bonus from doing this is: letting more oxygen into your lungs actually increases circulation to your brain which, initially will help your thought process. Releasing a little stress and increasing brain activity, almost to good to be true.

I personally like to do my breathing with music. It helps me from getting inside my own head and thoughts. Blasting your music, add a little breathing in there––you will never feel more refreshed. So, here is one of my latest favorites by Brooke Waggoner. She is a very talented artist, makes it very easy to get lost in her words.

Breathing&Happiness,
Genevieve.
